Monday April 14 - Turbulence Training Original Program Started

Welcome back everyone. On April 11, I wrote about how on April 14th I was beginning my new workout program from Turbulence Training. I will be starting with the Beginner Program and over the next 12 weeks working through to the Advanced program. My goal for the next 12 weeks is to get my body fat down to 12% to 15%, I don’t have a weight goal, but I know what I want to look like. The last time I had a body fat analysis completed was back in mid February and I was 20%BF +- 2%. My body composition has not changed much since then since I have been kept out of the gym for 4 of the 6 weeks since it was last done. I will be having another analysis completed the first week of May.

Well here’s what I look like currently (April 11th), and my weight fluctuates between 155lbs and 160lbs.

April 14th Turbulence Training Original Program Start

My workouts began on April 14th and they are going very well. I completed Workout A on April 14th and April 18th, and Workout B on April 16th. I’m quite happy with where I currently stand with what I can lift, since I’m coming off of a 4 week bodyweight workout.

So this week here’s where my weight lifting stands.

Barbell Squats - 2 sets of 265lbs
Dumbbell Rows - 2 sets of 70lbs
Dumbbell Chest Press - 2 sets of 60lbs
Dumbbell Step-Ups - 2 sets of 20lbs (I have never done weighted Step-ups so I didn’t want to go to heavy)

I also made it out for a 4km ride on my Mountain Bike April 15th and it was nice not to be winded after a few minutes. What an improvement from last summer. It’ll be great once the bike trails are free of snow and dry enough to ride on.

I look forward to finding my abs again and continuing to get into the best shape of my life.

Cheers,
Darryl
