WOW!!! I feel my workout today

Last night was another great hour in the gym. That’s right, I only spend an hour in the gym 3 or 4 times a week (How’s that for sounding infomercial-ish). Through the day I was feeling sluggish and unmotivated. As it neared the hour of work finishing I could feel my body waking up and preparing for the assault to come.

Here’s what went on

Workout
1A) DB Chest Press - 2 sets @ 65lbs, 12 reps (added 2 reps per set)
1B) DB Step-up - 2 sets @ 40lbs, 8reps (up 10lbs, dropped 2 reps per set)
2A) Elevated Push-up - 2 sets of 10 reps
2B) 1-Leg Hip Extension - 2 sets of 15 reps (added 3 reps)
3A) Plank - 2 sets of 60 secs
3B) Bird Dog - 2 sets of 7 reps

For intervals I decided I was going to do burpee/pull up combo (switched chin-ups for pull-ups, since I need to work on my pull-ups). I made it to eight (8) after pushing myself through the workout. If you want to know you’re working out, definitely give these are go. I know my neighbor Steve will testify to this.

This morning I woke up and I have that feeling of accomplishment. My legs are tight and a little sore, so I know I used them. My chest feels great and my upper back hasn’t felt this way for a while, you know the feeling, “Oh I must have worked that muscle group well because I can feel it all over”

I’m wanting to make it to the gym Saturday, but I also plan on building a terrace over my deck. I’ll see if time permits me to do both.
